Our clothing suppliers are members of the Fairwear Foundation (FWF), which is the beginning of a journey in which brands make step-by-step improvements that lead to real and sustainable solutions.

Lasting change does not happen overnight. FWF’s process-based approach acknowledges that ‘100% fair’ clothing does not yet exist, and places an emphasis on practical steps brands can take to reduce the risk of problems in factories. FWF focuses on the phases of production where sewing is the main manufacturing process. These are among the most labour-intensive phases of the production process. It is also the stage of production where many labour problems are found, and where effective remedies can positively impact the lives of millions of workers. This ensures we protect the children of tomorrow.

All of our garments are made from 100% organic cotton or organic certified mixed materials. Every single garment has received Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification and our suppliers are members of the Fairwear Foundation.

What does this mean exactly?

In a nutshell, farmers are protected as they are not dealing with harmful chemicals, you are not wearing harmful chemicals and you can be assured fair labour conditions are met.

Our printing partners use one of the most advanced and ethical direct to garment (DTG) printers in the world, producing exceptional quality and durability wash after wash.

Our printing inks are Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, biodegreable, PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) approved and on the positive list for the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

It took us almost a year of researching into farming processes, materials and inks before we even got to the stage of testing stage. The foundations of SJ Clothing Official is in our ethical values.

We have carefully sourced polythene based bags that are 100% biodegradable, fully recycable and eco-friendly. The bags contain an additive which accelerates the degradation progress, which means they will fully degrade within 12-24 months in landfill before biodegrading into carbon dioxide, water, biomass and minerals.

These bags were developed with the Polymer Research Department at London Metropolitan University. This reduces the environmental impact considerably and shows the efforts we are willing to go to, to ensure we look after our Earth and those residing in it, even if it means we pay a little extra.

We researched many companies over the course of several months before deciding on a supplier for our mailer bags.

Our supplier ensure that their environmental footprint is as green as can be. All their waste is recycled and all their packaging is recyclable. Their aim is to continue to develop and implement a robust environmental policy throughout the business and to become one of Europe’s most environmentally friendly packaging companies. That's why we chose them to work with us and we couldn't be happier.

In fact, our garments are sent to you in their recyclable, eco friendly mailer bags. They are also waterproof to ensure your garments reach you in perfect condition!
